This easy Honey Garlic Chicken is a perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors, featuring tender chicken breasts coated in a sticky, garlicky sauce. It’s a quick dinner recipe that pairs well with rice or vegetables for a complete meal.
Chopped parsley or green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken breasts and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until golden and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Stir in honey, soy sauce, and rice vinegar. Let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes.
In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water. Add to the sauce and cook until it thickens, about 1-2 minutes.
Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it in the sauce. Let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
Serve hot, garnished with parsley or green onions if desired.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the honey garlic sauce for 30 minutes before cooking.
Serve over rice or alongside steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
You can use chicken thighs instead of breasts for a juicier option.
