Equipment

  • Large skillet or pan
  • Whisk
  • Tongs
  • Measuring spoons

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • cup honey
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 Tbsp water
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Chopped parsley or green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken breasts and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until golden and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Stir in honey, soy sauce, and rice vinegar. Let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water. Add to the sauce and cook until it thickens, about 1-2 minutes.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it in the sauce. Let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  • Serve hot, garnished with parsley or green onions if desired.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the honey garlic sauce for 30 minutes before cooking.
  • Serve over rice or alongside steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
  • You can use chicken thighs instead of breasts for a juicier option.
