Ingredients:

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 scallions, sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water

Instructions:

  1. Heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and no longer pink, searing undisturbed for 2 minutes to develop a crust. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  2. Push the beef to the sides of the skillet to create a well in the center. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, sautéing for 30–60 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Toss in the broccoli florets and stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp and slightly charred.
  4. Whisk the soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, water, and cornstarch in a small bowl until smooth. Pour the mixture over the beef and broccoli, stirring constantly for 1–2 minutes until the sauce becomes a thick, glossy lacquer.
