Ingredients:
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 2 scallions, sliced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water
Instructions:
- Heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and no longer pink, searing undisturbed for 2 minutes to develop a crust. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Push the beef to the sides of the skillet to create a well in the center. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, sautéing for 30–60 seconds until fragrant.
- Toss in the broccoli florets and stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp and slightly charred.
- Whisk the soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, water, and cornstarch in a small bowl until smooth. Pour the mixture over the beef and broccoli, stirring constantly for 1–2 minutes until the sauce becomes a thick, glossy lacquer.
