Ingredients:
- 1.5 lb lean ground turkey
- 1 medium yellow onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes with green chiles
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tbsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup low-sodium chicken bone broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Instructions:
- Dice the yellow onion and mince the garlic.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained kidney beans, black beans, crushed tomatoes, diced tomatoes with green chiles, chicken bone broth, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Stir in the chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper until the liquid is a uniform, deep red.
- Place the raw ground turkey at the bottom of the crockpot, breaking it up slightly with a spoon.
- Pour the tomato and spice mixture over the meat, then stir in the diced onions and garlic.
- Cover and cook on Low for 6 hours until the turkey is fully integrated and the aroma is pungent.
