Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp (30g) brown sugar
- 2 tbsp (30ml) water
- 1/4 tsp (0.5g) ground cinnamon
- 1 pinch (0.1g) sea salt
- 2 shots (60ml) espresso
- 1 cup (240ml) oat milk
- 1 cup (150g) ice cubes
- 3 tbsp (45ml) heavy cream
- 1 tbsp (15ml) skim milk
- 1 tsp (5ml) vanilla extract
- 1 tsp (5g) maple syrup
Instructions:
- Combine brown sugar, water, cinnamon, and salt in a small saucepan. Heat over medium-low, stirring constantly until the sugar is fully dissolved and the mixture smells nutty and fragrant. Remove from heat and let it cool for 2 minutes.
- Pour the espresso shots and the warm brown sugar syrup into a shaker or mason jar. Fill the jar halfway with ice. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds until the mixture is frothy and ice-cold.
- Fill a serving glass with fresh ice. Pour in the shaken espresso mixture. Gently pour the oat milk over the coffee, leaving about an inch of space at the top.
- In a separate small pitcher, combine heavy cream, skim milk, vanilla extract, and maple syrup. Froth with a milk frother until thick and billowing, then slowly pour the foam over the top of the drink.
