Ingredients:

  • 22 oz canned green beans, drained
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1.5 cups French fried onions
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 4 strips cooked, crumbled bacon

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Make sure your rack is in the center for even heating.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together condensed mushroom soup, milk, melted butter, garlic powder, and soy sauce until smooth. Ensure there are no soup clumps.
  3. Gently fold in the drained canned green beans. Use a spatula so you don't mash the beans.
  4. Pour the mixture into a 1.5-quart baking dish. Stir in half of the shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes until the edges are bubbling and the center is set.
  6. Remove from oven and sprinkle the remaining cheese and French fried onions evenly across the surface.
  7. Return to the oven for 5 to 10 minutes until the onions are mahogany colored and the cheese is melted.
