Ingredients:
- 22 oz canned green beans, drained
- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1.5 cups French fried onions
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 4 strips cooked, crumbled bacon
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Make sure your rack is in the center for even heating.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together condensed mushroom soup, milk, melted butter, garlic powder, and soy sauce until smooth. Ensure there are no soup clumps.
- Gently fold in the drained canned green beans. Use a spatula so you don't mash the beans.
- Pour the mixture into a 1.5-quart baking dish. Stir in half of the shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon.
- Bake for 20 minutes until the edges are bubbling and the center is set.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle the remaining cheese and French fried onions evenly across the surface.
- Return to the oven for 5 to 10 minutes until the onions are mahogany colored and the cheese is melted.
