Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp (25g) packed light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp (2g) ground cinnamon
  • 2 oz (60ml) hot espresso or strongly brewed coffee
  • ¼ tsp (1g) vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (240ml) oat milk

Instructions:

  1. Combine the brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and vanilla extract in your mug.
  2. Pour in the hot espresso (approx. 190°F/88°C) and whisk vigorously for 30 seconds until the sugar is completely dissolved and the mixture looks like a smooth, dark syrup.
  3. Heat the oat milk on the stove or in the microwave until steaming but not boiling.
  4. Insert a handheld frother at a slight angle, keeping the whisk head just below the surface, and froth until the milk has doubled in volume and has a velvety microfoam texture.
  5. Slowly pour the frothed milk over the brown sugar espresso base, using a spoon to hold back the foam until the cup is nearly full.
  6. Dollop the remaining foam on top of the drink.
