Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup (50g) light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) water
  • 1 tsp (2g) ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch (0.5g) sea salt
  • 2 shots (60ml) espresso
  • 1 cup (240ml) whole milk

Instructions:

  1. Combine the light brown sugar, water, cinnamon, and salt in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Stir constantly until the sugar completely dissolves and the mixture reaches a gentle simmer.
  3. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 2–3 minutes until the liquid thickens slightly and smells toasted; remove from heat.
  4. Brew 2 shots of espresso or 1/2 cup of strong coffee and pour into a mug.
  5. Stir 1–2 tablespoons of the prepared brown sugar cinnamon syrup into the hot coffee until fully integrated.
  6. Heat the whole milk in a saucepan or microwave until steaming but not boiling.
  7. Use a handheld frother to aerate the milk for approximately 30 seconds until a thick, silky foam forms.
  8. Slowly pour the frothed milk over the sweetened coffee, dollop the remaining foam on top, and garnish with a dusting of cinnamon.
